Unicru is an American computer software company that produces software for Human Resources departments. In particular it provides products and services that allow companies to measure the quality of job applicants and their suitability for particular positions by giving them personality tests. Many of their customers are large retailers such as; Lowe's, Hollywood Video, Albertsons, Circuit City, Toys R Us, PetSmart, Best Buy, and Blockbuster Video.

"They key to passing the test is be strongly one side or the other. Don't be in the middle and be sure to take it as fast as possible."
"Choosing either of the middle options is generally considered to be wrong no matter what. You need to choose only strongly agree or strongly disagree to have the best chance."
"it's not the answer but the amount of time you take to answer that affects your hiring. Their logic is that if you thought too long about stealing, you're a thief...."
Myth or Fact? I don't know...

Re: Myth or Fact: Pass the Unicru Test
Passing the test is easy. I got a 97% the 1st try. Try to keep in mind how the perfect employee would answer the question-not how you would. Then, be consistent. Also, take your time. These are NOT timed tests. You can log off and on (start & stop)the test as many times
as you want during 1 week. The company only sees the results-not how long it took.
VERY IMPORTANT!!! Try to not answer anything as "strongly" disagree or "strongly" agree. Employers don't want stubborn, strongly opinionated employees. They are looking for easy going, flexible, honest and non-risk taking employees. People with strong opinions start fights, don't listen to the boss, can be rude, are judgemental and don't get along well with others. In short, they aren't good employees who are open to ideas because their mind is already made up. I'll show what I mean in the following questions.
Sample Questions
"There are some people that I can't stand" Agree- there's always going to be someone you can't stand. (Some people can't stand Bush & no one would be expected to like Hitler either)
Only a liar would disagree. IF you agreed STRONGLY-it sounds like you have trouble getting along with people. If you disagree strongly, you're a wimp that they don't want to hire. Or, are you trying to say you're like Gandhi or Mother Teresa? You retard, Do you really expect them to think that you love everybody?
"You like to plan things before you start" Only a person with obsessive-compulsive disorder would strongly agree. IT also means that you aren't flexible or spontaneous. IF you strongly disagree you sound like a slacker. Just agree.
"You think of yourself as being very sensible" The key word is VERY. If you strongly agree you must be one of those annoying people that always thinks he's right. If you strongly disagree, you know you're an idiot. Just agree.
"You don't worry about making a good impression" You should disagree everyone worries about this. IF you disagree strongly, it means you worry a lot about it. Why? are you trying to hide something? If you agree strongly, you're an idiot.
"You do some things that upset people" Sure you do. Sometimes doing the right thing will upset people but it can't be helped. Telling your kid to finish the their homework before playing video games might make him upset but oh,well! Don't agree strongly with this it makes you sound like a jerk. If you disagree strongly - You don't ever upset people? What are you saying that you're perfect or maybe you're just socially clueless to the effect you have on others.
"You love to listen to people talk about themselves" Liar. No, you don't - nobody does.
If you strongly agree -you're a total liar. If you strongly disagree, you hate to hear people talk about themselves. You're not very nice, are you? Just agree - it sounds nice.
Finally, the question "I don't fake being polite." Some people think they should agree strongly-wrongly assuming this makes them sound ultra polite. No, it makes you sound like an asshole. Imagine someone saying "I don't care, there's no way I can pretend to be polite to that guy!" Or By disagreeing strongly, It makes you sound like a mean person who isn't nice and always fakes it. The right answer is of course - disagree- Just admit the truth that everyone has to fake at being polite at some time in their life. Imagine a customer service rep - they have to be polite no matter what abuse is tossed their way. A goog employee has to fake being polite sometimes - you're boss expects it. Think about what each question is really asking there is always a common sense answer.
Another really important reason they give these tests is to test intelligence and reading skills. It is impossible for a poor reader to pass these tests.
